DOAF & GOAT Partner On A Holiday Drop Worth Celebrating
DOAF Dishes Out A Double Helping With Black Friday Drop.
Before most AF1 enthusiasts had even digested their Thanksgiving meal, Ducks of a Feather offered up something else to be grateful for: Two custom AF1 Low colorways, each with a distinct flavor all its own.
The limited edition styles, dubbed “Egg or Duck” and “Duck or Egg” offer a playful take on the age-old conundrum: “Which came first, the Chi-, er, Duck or the Egg?” with colors, materials, and graphics representing both sides of the famous argument.
The DOAF x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Duck or Egg” features a combined leather and suede upper with a flocked textile Swoosh logo and a terrycloth sock-liner—all done in shades of Soft Yellow, Topaz Gold and Bright Ceramic, accented with an orange-red outsole and piping underneath the Swoosh and bright green laces. An embroidered design of a cracked eggshell on the heel counter adds a distinctive touch, as do the words “Egg” and “Duck” embroidered on the back of the left and right shoes, respectively.
The "Egg or Duck" version sports an upper featuring an iridescent green leather base with full-grain white speckled leather overlays and a pine green suede Swoosh logo—accented with a bright green outsole and terrycloth sock-liner, and dark green laces. Its heel counter features an embroidered design of two duck's feet and the words “Duck” and “Egg” on the back of the left and right shoes, in the opposite order of its companion version.
A playful hangtag featuring a duck inside an eggshell accompanied both versions. Both pairs also sported terrycloth sock-liners with “DUCKS OF A FEATHER” branding, as well as messaging on the interior tongue asking, “Which Came First?”
As it turned out, the holiday double-drop not only posed that immortal riddle but cracked it as well— as both editions were made available simultaneously on the GOAT app and website as part of their annual Black Friday campaign.
As with all Ducks of a Feather offerings, all proceeds go to help participating University of Oregon Student Athletes.
