Fresh For Spring:  Oregon Dunk Lows in High Demand

Tinker Hatfield designed U of O Nike Dunks

U of O student-athletes have benefitted from the proceeds of Division Street’s collaborations with Tinker Hatfield to drop iconic and popular player edition sneakers before. But the latest offering marked the first time they would get to participate in the design process itself.

With the Nike Dunk Low as their canvas, Hatfield worked with UO student-athletes to gain their insights on the look and feel of the “ideal spring shoe,” incorporating their input to create the final design.

The result, the Nike Dunk Low “Oregon” Player Edition, offered a fresh take on a classic shoe, with subtle interplays of texture and color highlighted by distinctive signature touches.

The shoe features a subtle tone-on-tone combination of off-white split suede quarter panels and toe boxes, and overlays of light grey tumbled leather accented by electric green stitching throughout, which also outline the white leather Swoosh branding.

The electric green carries through to the shoes’ interior lining and insoles, which feature a large “O” branding for the right shoe and “Ducks of a Feather” branding for the left. Additional branding, as well as another color pop, are provided by an electric green tongue tag sporting a multi-colored Duck head logo over all caps “DUCKS” branding. Finally, the interior of the tag features the signature of the shoe’s designer, Tinker Hatfield.

1,000 pairs of the exclusive Ducks sneakers were offered in April on the GOAT app and Goat.com, and it’s safe to say they flew—selling out in just 20 minutes, with the proceeds benefitting participating University of Oregon student-athletes.
